IMAGES AND DETAILS
Unlike most of my paintings “Illusion Of Chaos 1” possesses a clear focal point. This swirl in the right part of the canvas immediately attracts the attention of the viewer. The rest of the composition brings the conflict between order and chaos.
The yellow and the magenta are similar in terms of color values. It makes it more difficult for the viewer to fully distinguish the segments and this makes the mind work more. It is less pleasing but more involving.
I used very well defined brush strokes which possess clear hard edges. This makes the shapes very prominent. Each of them fights for attention and brings more of the impression of chaos.
I wanted the different elements of the composition to be easily distinguishable from each other. The curves and the waves create a strong opposition to the straight angles and lines.
Unlike most of my artwork this one possesses very different color values around the edges of painting. In such cases a frame brings a better look to the canvas because it helps it look more coherent.
A CLOSE UP VIEW OF PORTIONS OF THE PAINTING
In this portion of the canvas I randomized heavily different types of brush strokes. To make my name more prominent I used pure Titanium white and it distinguishes the text from the rest of the composition.
To be a prominent focal point the yellow swirl needed to be well defined from the rest of the painting. For that reason I used hard edge borders. The color has no transition into the other elements.
Our minds love to explore and discover familiar information in the surrounding environment. These fragments exist in contrast with the rest of the composition because it reminds of recognizable objects from life.
In this fragment I used earth tones of the main colors. By adding complementary colors and black I created ease for the viewer. The softer colors look more harmonious together.
In the segment you can see well defined shapes which create a repeating pattern. It is visible mostly from a close distance. I used many different types of patterns to achieve the illusion of chaos.
